Agape

The highest, purest form of love is Agape.  From Greek origin, agape is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love.  Most importantly, it’s an active love, not rooted in emotion. Agape is constant, unchanging.  When Jesus died on the cross for us, he didn’t say never mind these people aren’t worthy.  He did it despite our unworthiness. As Christ’s disciples, we are called to demonstrate agape love by looking past faults and love others as Jesus loved us. It’s love without the ‘but.’   It’s love without conditions attached.

Inspired by Colossians 3:12-14 ::

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you.
